Subcontractors

We require all subcontractors to carry, at minimum, $500,000 in Worker’s Compensation insurance and $1,000,000 in General Liability insurance.  Larger jobs may see these requirements raised.

We require safety shoes, hard hats, bright colored shirts (reflective shirts or vests around equipment), long pants, and eye protection and gloves when needed.  All PPE will need to be supplied by the subcontractor.

All sites will follow OSHA, state, and local rules and regulations.  Failure for any individual to follow the rules will result in a written warning.  If an individual continues to fail to follow the rules they will be removed from the site.  If a company has too many individuals who are breaking the rules Onvico’s managers will remove the whole company from the site and cancel their contract.

A lack of tools or equipment is not an excuse to fulfill a contract unless otherwise mentioned in the contract.  Subcontractors are responsible for their own tools, equipment, and transportation to complete the work.

Subcontractors are required to maintain a clean and tidy work area.  Any trash left on site will be cleaned by Onvico personnel and the subcontractor will be back-charged for their time and resources.
